Humans in the City: Artificial Intelligence Research and Urban Environments (AI-HUE '24)

1st International Workshop on Humans in the City - SUBMISSION DEADLINE EXTENDED TO April 14th, 2024 AoE

In an era in which technological advances are continuously changing our understanding of urban landscapes, the AI-HUE workshop is at the forefront of integrating Artificial Intelligence (AI) research with urban geospatial studies. This workshop will focus on the transformative role of AI in optimizing urban environments in a way that is centered around human needs and behaviors. It aims to transcend the traditional boundaries of geospatial data analysis by focusing on how AI can enhance and understand urban structures and human dynamics within these spaces. We, therefore, invite scholars from all disciplines to submit their work to the workshop and particularly encourage senior PhD students and young Post-Docs to submit.

Present your new methods, discuss challenges and opportunities, and collaborate on the preparation of a call for papers for a special issue in a renowned journal. Join us in this endeavor to explore and document the latest innovations and applications that push the boundaries of what is possible in the field of GIScience and human-related, urban dynamics. All submissions will be reviewed (single-blind) by at least two members of the workshop's international program committee. Accepted submissions will be given the opportunity for presentation at the workshop and, upon acceptance, the submissions will be made available using a DOI.
